Choosing colour for your home is one of the single most important tasks when it comes to getting the look of a room just right. Colour is so deceptive and it depends on how much natural light you do or do not have. Whether your project is a total renovation or a few rooms in need of a refresh, Siobhan can use her extensive knowledge and guide you through choosing a considered colour palette for your home which reflects your personal aesthetic.
Deciding on a colour tends to be overwhelming, time consuming and costly. Booking an expert consultation takes away the stress and makes the process more enjoyable.
What to Expect from a Colour Consultation
Before
Once you have booked your Colour Consultation you will receive a questionnaire to complete along with a request to send photos and videos of the spaces that you would like to look at.
If a Virtual Colour Consult, you will receive a link via email to join our video call. If an In Home Colour Consult, Siobhan will arrive at your address at the scheduled appointment time.
During
During your Colour Consulation you will be presented with a colour palette tailored to your home reflecting your personal aesthetic.
If you have any reservations about the colour scheme we can take another look and find the perfect shade.
After
Following the Colour Consultation you will receive a colour specification report by email.
The report will list the papers & paints along with recommended primers, undercoats and finishes per room.
You are left with a concise colour report that you can hand straight to your decorator.

Virtual Colour Consulations

Virtual Colour Consultations take place on Google Meet video calls. Once you have booked your consultation you will receive a questionnaire to complete along with a request to send photos and videos of the spaces that you would like to look at. This information is required 24hrs before the consultation if possible.
Prior to the scheduled consultation you will receive a link via email to join the video call where you will be met by Siobhan. From there you will be presented with a colour palette tailored to your home & lifestyle, reflecting your personal aesthetic. If you have any reservations about the colour scheme we can take another look during the call & find the perfect shade. Siobhan works with Farow & Ball, Little Greene & Paint & Paper Library colour palettes so it is a good idea to have these colour charts to hand to use as a reference during the consultation. -
Advice is shared in approximately four rooms per hour. The minimum appointment time is one hour, but you can book additional time in 30 minute increments if required.

No, you do not need to be at the property for the virtual call, however if it is possible it can be helpful as you can take a look at the colours in situ and give your feedback. Colour is so deceptive and it depends on how much natural light you do or do not have. Many find it easier and more beneficial to relax and take a seat for the duration of the call.

Preparation can be as minimal or thorough as a client feels is necessary to accomplish their goals from the consultation. Generally we suggest sending photos & videos of the space you need help with. Some people also include Inspirational images & examples of colour schemes they like. This information is required 24hrs before the consultation. All of the research and preparation is carried out prior to the call so the more detailed information you provide the more accurate the advice is given.

I charge £140 per hour. Additional time can be added in 30 minute increments for an extra £70.

In Home Colour Consulations

Once you have booked your consultation you will receive a questionnaire to complete along with a request to send any inspiration you have gathered e.g a Pinterest Board or some screenshots etc. This is not essential but it helps to get a good idea of your style.
On the day of your appointment Siobhan will meet you at your property with a range of large colour books. This means we can walk around the space and see any materials you've gathered in person. Together you will look at colour in your spaces & choose a palette tailored to your home and lifestyle reflecting your individual taste. Preparation can be as minimal or as thorough as a client feels is necessary to accomplish their goals from the consultation. Generally we suggest collating Inspirational images & examples of colour schemes you like, this could be in the form of a Pinterest Board, screenshots or simply a list of Instagram accounts or Designers that you may find inspiring . It is also very beneficial if you have samples of anything new that will be in place e.g flooring, fabrics, tiles, work surfaces etc.
